Collaborative Problem Solving
In our line of work, kids do well when they can. Often, when students exhibit challenging behavior, it’s because they don’t have all of the tools or skills they need to succeed. In our role as your child’s educational consultant, we use a Collaborative Problem Solving® (CPS) approach to reduce challenging behavior, teach kids vital skills they lack, and help students build relationships with the adults in their lives. This evidence-based model is founded on empowerment, empathy, and mutual problem-solving.
What Is Education Consulting?
Collaborative Problem Solving® (CPS) is an evidence-based model based on neurobiological research. It’s proven to reduce challenging behavior, teach kids the skills they lack, and help them build relationships with the adults in their lives.
CPS also helps adults shift to a more accurate and compassionate mindset and embrace the truth that kids do well if they can – rather than the more common belief that kids would do well if they simply wanted to.
How Education Consulting Works
We begin by identifying what triggers a child’s challenging behavior and the specific skills they need help developing. After the initial discovery phase, we partner with the child to build those skills and create lasting solutions to problems that work for everyone. If you’re looking for a more accurate, compassionate, and effective approach to educational consulting, CPS is an excellent option.
